The Skyline Lounges and Cafe at Northern Suburbs Memorial Gardens and Crematorium are the ideal setting for your after funeral gathering. With its three Skyline Lounges and Skyline Cafe it is the premier function centre space on Sydney's North Shore.

The Function Centre possesses beautiful North Shore views, a high quality fit out, landscaping and furnishings, and state of the art AV equipment throughout so that photo displays, video and music can be shared with guests while they spend time with family and friends. Each Lounge has been purpose-built to ensure convenience for family and friends already at one of our chapels for a funeral service. This makes it easier than ever to enjoy comfortable, private quality time with guests while savouring hand crafted refreshments and beverages.

There are three individual lounges:

  • Skyline Lounge 1 can accommodate up to 100 people
  • Skyline Lounge 2 and 3 can accommodate up to 80 people each

For larger groups, the rooms can be interconnected. Please discuss this with our caterer.

Making a Booking

Making a booking for one of the Skyline Lounges is convenient and can be done at the same time as making a booking for a chapel service. Alternatively, you can contact the Catering department directly on (02) 9814 4455.

Skyline Cafe Opening Hours

Skyline Cafe is open:

  • Monday to Friday 7.00am - 4.00pm
  • Saturday 10.00am - 2.00pm

Catering Menus

The catering service at the Northern Suburbs Function Centre is provided by Pelema Retail.

Pelema Retail has a high reputation for excellence and quality which it has gained by serving customers in five states. They have many years’ experience in catering functions of all kinds, as well as a reputation for providing fine catered dining options and café style meals and refreshments. We look forward to offering the flavours of Pelema Retail to the families who select the Northern Suburbs Function Centre.

Mobility Assistance

Whilst the Skyline Lounges are only a short walk from the chapels, for the greater convenience of guests mobile carts are available to assist guests to attend a function. Please discuss your needs for mobile cart transportation with our Concierge, located in our main office.

*Skyline Function Centre Terms and Conditions

  1. Final costs will be based upon a head count of guests and agreed with your family on the day of the service. Where the guest numbers exceed the original number, we will liaise with your Family & Funeral Director, who will adjust your account accordingly.
  2. Minimum charge will be for the number of guests originally booked.
  3. External food is not permitted for consumption in the Skyline Function Centre.
  4. Non-consumed foods will be disposed of on-site to ensure the health and safety of guests.
  5. Venue hire of the Condolence Lounge is for 90 minutes.
  6. Room hire Monday to Friday is $121.00 per function.
  7. All prices include GST.
  8. Ordered items may vary subject to availability.
  9. Gluten-free food items available at menu price.
  10. The selection of food items from our menus may change from time to time, but indicates the expected costs.

Payment in full is required on the day of the function.
Saturday bookings attract a 15% surcharge on menu costs. Minimum numbers may apply.
